Karazin University Graduate Ihor Kyrylenko Receives the International Astronomical Union PhD Prize 2025

A graduate of the University (having earned a Bachelor's degree from the Education and Scientific Institute “School of Physics and Technology” and a Master's degree from the School of Physics), Junior Research Fellow at the University's Research Institute of Astronomy, Ihor Kyrylenko has been named a recipient of the prestigious IAU PhD Prize 2025, awarded annually by the International Astronomical Union in recognition of outstanding doctoral research in astronomy.

In 2025, the International Astronomical Union honoured nine recipients of the PhD Prize, one recipient of the Special PhD Prize, and presented twelve Honorable Mentions. These awards recognize exceptional scientific achievements and support outstanding researchers at the beginning of their scientific careers.
