Publisher and Karazin University Employee Oleksandr Savchuk has been Awarded the Silver Medal by the Decision of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine Presidium
Alexander Savchuk, an expert of the Center for Ukrainian and Regional Studies named after P.T. Tronko, has been honored for his outstanding contribution to the scholarly and popular knowledge about Ukrainian culture, art, and architecture. This recognition comes in acknowledgment of his years of productive publishing work, active public engagement, and his preparation and publication of monographs dedicated to the works of Vasyl Krychevsky, Georgiy Narbut, and Mykhailo Boychuk.
"This award is not directly dedicated to me. It's an accolade for the publishing endeavors of Alexander Savchuk, where the heritage of these authors is illuminated. This award belongs to our editors, designers, everyone involved in our publications, and especially to our readers who support us. The Academy has marked us through these three figures. The actual goal of our publications is to popularize these personalities, to remember what they have done for us," stated Savchuk.
Vasyl Krychevsky was the focus of the final lecture during Independence Week. Alexander Savchuk's publishing house has produced a two-volume compendium titled "Vasyl Krychevsky: Anthology," encompassing materials and sources for research: his articles, autobiographical articles, archival materials, lists of his works, as well as his artistic heritage, which had not been previously published.
"This is what we've uncovered from 2013 to 2020, and what we've introduced into the academic discourse. Now, it's there. This publication allows readers to become acquainted with all the milestones in his biography and professional activity," highlighted Alexander Savchuk.
Congratulations on this significant recognition! We express gratitude for your efforts in popularizing Ukrainian figures of influence.
