The training "Emergencies: provision of first aid at the scene" was held in Karazin University
On March 17, on the basis of the School of Medicine, the training "Emergencies: providing emergency medical care at the scene" was held for students and employees of Karazin University without a higher medical and pharmaceutical education using simulation learning technologies.
In the conditions of war, you should be ready for anything. First aid skills are especially important as they can help save lives, increase self-confidence and reduce panic in critical moments.
Training participants had the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and practice the skills necessary to stop critical bleeding - applying a tourniquet, wound tamponade, applying a pressure bandage, basic life support - assessing a person's condition, his consciousness, performing chest compressions, performing artificial ventilation, using CPR, helping a choking person, etc.
The director and teacher of the course is the deputy dean of the medical school for scientific work, anesthesiologist, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor of the department of surgical diseases Maria Matveyenko.
Due to the great interest of the students and employees of the Karazin University in delving into this topic and thanks to the extremely positive feedback from the training participants, the possibility of conducting additional trainings is being considered.
