A Meeting of the Academic Council Held at Karazin University

On October 27, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University hosted a regular meeting of the Academic Council.

During the meeting, a number of important issues concerning the university’s activities were discussed, including the results of the 2025 admission campaign, the university’s operations during the autumn-winter period of the 2025/2026 academic year, the approval of professional development programs and certificate educational programs, as well as changes in the editorial boards of Karazin University’s periodicals. Members of the Academic Council also approved several personnel matters and decisions on awarding academic titles.

Traditionally, the Academic Council approved the publication and online placement of educational and scientific materials.

A special moment of the meeting was the honoring of university staff for their long-term diligent work, high professionalism, and significant contribution to the development of education and science.

The award of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine “For Professional Achievements” was presented to Professor Ivan Horbenko, Department of Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Networks, and Technologies, Education and Research Institute of Computer Sciences and Artificial Intelligence.

The Honorary Diploma of the Kharkiv City Council was awarded to:

  • Yaroslav Hrečko, Senior Researcher, Education and Research Institute “Physical and Technical School”;

  • Andrii Dehtiarov, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Quantum Radiophysics, School of Radiophysics, Biomedical Electronics, and Computer Systems;

  • Ruslan Zaporozhchenko, Associate Professor, Department of Political Sociology, Education and Research Institute of Sociology and Media Communications;

  • Olena Fridman, Associate Professor, Academic Secretary of the Academic Secretary’s Office;

  • Oleksandr Perederii, Associate Professor, Department of State and Legal Disciplines, School of Law.

The Acknowledgment of the Head of the Kharkiv Regional State (Military) Administration was announced for:

  • Professor Serhii Kostrikov, Department of Socio-Economic Geography and Regional Studies named after Kostiantyn Niemets, School of Geology, Geography, Recreation, and Travel Business;

  • Associate Professor Anna Kramarenko, Department of Management and Administration, Education and Research Institute “Karazin Business School.”

The Diploma of the Kharkiv Regional Council was awarded to:

  • Associate Professor Oleksii Oleshko, Department of Public Administration and Civil Service, Education and Research Institute “Institute of Public Administration”;

  • Associate Professor Olena Huliaieva, Head of the Department of Applied Psychology, School of Psychology;

  • Associate Professor Iryna Myronenko, Department of Physical Optics, School of Physics.

The Honorary Diploma of the Kharkiv City Council was also presented to Professor Lidiia Hurianova, Department of Economic Cybernetics and Applied Economics, School of Economics.

The Acknowledgment of the Mayor of Kharkiv was given to:

  • Associate Professor Anna Zaitseva, Head of the Department of International Economic Relations and Logistics, Education and Research Institute “Karazin Institute of International Relations and Travel Business”;

  • Associate Professor Serhii Kryvoruchko, Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, School of Foreign Languages.

The Rector’s Acknowledgment was announced for:

  • Associate Professor Nataliia Antonenko, Department of Automation, Metrology, and Energy-Efficient Technologies, Education and Research Institute “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogics Academy”;

  • Kateryna Zuikova, Leading Specialist, Center for Professional Development and Retraining, Institute of Continuing Education;

  • Associate Professor Eduard Kochanov, Department of Environmental Monitoring and Nature Conservation, Educational and Research Institute of Ecology, Green Energy, and Sustainable Development;

  • Associate Professor Inna Kreminska, Department of History of Ukrainian Literature, School of Philology;

  • Associate Professor Olha Petrykiva, Department of Management, Accounting, and Business Communications, Education and Research Institute “Karazin Banking Institute”;

  • Associate Professor, Professor Volodymyr Tuz, Department of Theoretical Radiophysics, School of Radiophysics, Biomedical Electronics, and Computer Systems.

Rector Tetiana Kahanovska expressed gratitude to all members of the university community for their dedication, daily work, and contribution to strengthening the reputation of Karazin University.
