Students from Karazin University Completed their Internship at Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius
From August 28th to September 11th, an internship was held at Mykolas Romeris University as part of the Experiential Practice on International Students Integration project.
Students from the School of Business at Karazin University, Yana Kurbayeva and Maria Donchenko, participated in a two-week training program as part of the Erasmus+ project 'Integration and Adaptation of Foreign Students / INTERADIS.' Among the participants were also students from other Ukrainian partner universities, including KROK University, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, National University of Water and Environmental Engineering, Mariupol State University, Sumy National Agrarian University, Ivan Franko Lviv National University, and Odesa National Polytechnic University.
The students from Karazin University shared their impressions: 'This experience was crucial in our study and deepening of international relations. Mykolas Romeris University impressed us with its openness and hospitality. During the internship, we had the opportunity to communicate with students from different countries worldwide. This is not our first experience, but with each new one, we become more fascinated with new opportunities and connections. We exchanged cultural features and learning experiences, expanding our global perspective.
The Experiential Practice on International Students Integration project was very important and relevant both for our experience and for the understanding of the international office of the Lithuanian university in hosting guests from other countries. We worked on issues related to the integration of foreign students into the academic environment. This project allowed us to deepen our understanding of the internationalization of higher education and find practical solutions to improve the system as a whole.
Overall, this internship served as a great example of how university staff strive to create a conducive learning and communication environment for students. We not only identified the main advantages and disadvantages of the integration demonstrated to us, but also deepened our understanding of international education and interaction.
