Solar power plants are a step towards sustainable development and energy independence: the university will provide itself with energy
Hostile attacks on the city's energy infrastructure have become a new challenge for the Kharkiv Karazin University Foundation. A new task was defined - to find a way to ensure the university's energy independence from the centralized power grid.
Modern society is increasingly supporting the use of renewable energy sources. Solar energy is one of the most popular options. To this end, funds have been raised for the construction of solar power plants that will generate the optimal amount of energy.
It is important to note that the project contributes to achieving one of the main goals of the UN Sustainable Development Goals - affordable and clean energy. Solar power plants can reduce emissions of harmful substances and carbon dioxide, which will help improve air quality and conserve natural resources. In addition, dependence on traditional energy sources will be eliminated.
The project was made possible through extraordinary efforts and cooperation. In particular, thanks to the New University in Exile Consortium, whose director is Arien Meck and whose representative is Jessica Pisano, a member of the Karazin Foundation's Board of Trustees. The support and assistance from friends and partners of the university helps Karazin students to overcome all obstacles and feel the ray of light and warmth of people's hearts, even in the darkest times.
The foundation team does not rest on its laurels and continues to implement new projects. Please join us, as any contribution is of great importance!
