Enrollment of students for a distance course “Introduction to Machine Learning” from by the Italian University of Macerata has begun

The V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University experiences daily on its own life difficulties in the conditions of the permanently airstrikes and bombing of the city, and courageously overcomes together with whole Ukraine the heaviest losses and trials caused by the Russian war against our people. We constantly receive unprecedented support from partners and friendly institutions from around the world, every day we learn about new great reasons to be proud of the global educational community, sincerely and effectively supporting the Karazin community in Ukraine and abroad.

Today we have a wonderful opportunity to share the official news on launching the course “Introduction to Machine Learning” at the Karazin University, to be implemented jointly with the University of Macerata, one of the oldest universities in Italy and Europe.

Students of the Karazin University will be acquainted with the issues of artificial intelligence, features of machine learning and the role of information technology in the modern world by:

  • Emanuele Frontoni, Full Professor of Computer Science at Università degli Studi di Macerata and Co-director of VRAI Lab at Università Politecnica delle Marche;
  • Luca Romeo, PhD, Università degli Studi di Macerata and Department of Information Engineering, Università Politecnica delle Marche;
  • Michele Bernardini, PhD, Department of Information Engineering, Università Politecnica delle Marche;
  • Riccardo Rosati, Phd Student, Department of Information Engineering, Università Politecnica delle Marche.

The training course was made possible by the conclusion of cooperation agreement between the Karazin University and Macerata University. The training will take place in a distance format and is open to everybody. The course consists of 6 credits (180 academic hours). Registration link for the course.

Such initiatives during the martial law demonstrate solidarity that knows no borders, and also show that the belief in the victory of the Ukrainian people is not in doubt among our partners, even far beyond Ukraine, because it is common to the entire democratic world. The solidarity of the university's friends in different parts of the world has no obstacles and demonstrates the true greatness of spirit and loyalty to the universal values.
