At the reporting and election conference of the Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine, held on December 21, 2024, in Kyiv in a hybrid format, another representative of Karazin University joined the ranks of newly elected members.

In the Department of Philology, Art Studies, and Mass Communication, the academy welcomed Professor Oleksandr Rebrii, Head of the Mykola Lukash Department of Translation Studies at the School of Foreign Languages of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Professor Rebrii is rightfully considered one of Ukraine's leading philologists today.

Established on November 27, 1992, the academy now comprises nearly 500 full members, professors, and doctors of science who have founded renowned scientific schools and represent all fields of knowledge and university centers across the nation. Among them are members of the National and sectoral academies of sciences, prestigious international scientific societies, and laureates of prominent national and international scientific awards.

Over its more than 30 years of dedicated work, the academy and its scholars have ensured that Ukrainian science continues to produce critical results essential for national security in both modern technology and the humanities. Ukrainian higher education continues to prepare highly qualified specialists who, even under the extraordinarily difficult conditions of the full-scale war initiated by Russia, sustain the state's vital functions across all sectors.

We congratulate the newly elected academician and wish him fruitful work for the glory of Ukraine and his alma mater!
