Professor Igor Hirka joined the Polish Physical Society Congress
On September 2nd, Professor Igor Hirka from the Educational and Scientific Institute of the School of Physics and Technology participated in the Polish Physical Society Congress at the request of the Coordination Council of the Ukrainian Physical Society, where he serves as vice president.
During his presentation, Igor Hirka mentioned Count Severin Potocki, who was the first curator of Karazin University, the first Marshal of Poland Józef Piłsudski, who studied at the School of Medecin, and the artist Henryk Semiradsky, who graduated from the School of Physics and Mathematics.
Professor Hirka also informed about the destruction of university buildings and the wartime losses among students, staff, and graduates of Karazin University.
At the end of the event, Igor Horka expressed his gratitude to the Polish society. He highlighted that today, over two million Ukrainians reside in Poland, and he thanked the entire democratic community for their support of Ukraine. He also reminded everyone about the possibility of helping the university through the Kharkiv Karazin University Foundation.
