With deep sorrow, we announce that on March 18, 2025, at the age of 95, Colonel  Vasyl Bezdytko, former Head of the Military Mobilization Department and Chairman of the University Veterans' Primary Organization, passed away.

Vasyl Pavlovych devoted over half a century of dedicated and diligent work to Karazin University. He joined the university in 1966 after studying at a tank school and serving in the Armed Forces.

Through his personal example of dedication, love for the university, and high professionalism, Vasyl Pavlovych played an active role for 20 years in training reserve officers and developing the department’s educational and material base at the military department.

After retiring from military service, he first held the position of engineer and later became Head of the Military Mobilization Department at Karazin University. A significant part of Vasyl Pavlovych's life was devoted to the university’s Veterans' Primary Organization, which he led for 30 years.

Colleagues, students, veterans, and friends deeply respected his professionalism, commitment to duty, kindness, and caring nature.

We express our heartfelt condolences to Vasyl Pavlovych’s family and loved ones, sharing in their grief. His bright memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

The farewell ceremony for Vasyl Pavlovych will take place on March 20, 2025, at 9:30 AM in the ritual hall of the Kharkiv Regional Cardiology Center (85 Yevropeiska Street).
