An agreement was signed with Igbinedion University
V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University expands opportunities for students to receive educational services, in particular for international citizens. A number of agreements on the creation and opening of educational sites outside the city of Kharkiv and Ukraine have already been signed.
On August 2, 2022, a cooperation agreement was signed between Karazin University and Igbinedion University, Okada State, Nigeria.
The agreement is aimed at creating a sustainable system of educational, scientific and cultural cooperation in accordance with high international academic standards, which will stimulate the development of regional cooperation, harmonization of educational qualifications, implementation of effective models and forms of education that meet modern challenges and global trends.
Among other things, the terms of the agreement provide that international students of Karazin University, who were forced to return to Nigeria and other countries of the world as a result of Russian armed aggression, will have the opportunity to attend offline classes on the basis of Igbinedion University in addition to the current form of distance education.
In addition, the agreement has been approved by the Nigerian Universities Commission, a government governing body under the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Education (NUC), as fully in line with the goals and principles of transnational education.
