Oleksandr Kryvokon Visited Karazin University: Discussions was Focused on the Development of Science, Technology, and Innovation

On September 23, Karazin University was visited by Oleksandr Kryvokon, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, and a specialist in the history of science and technology, engineering and industrial management, and industrial development. Over the years, he has held senior positions at leading Ukrainian enterprises, including serving as General Director and President of the Kharkiv Tractor Plant, working at the V. O. Malyshev Plant, the O. M. Makarov Pivdennyi Machine-Building Plant, heading the Kharkiv State Aircraft Manufacturing Company, and serving as President of the Antonov State Enterprise.

During the meeting with the university administration, the participants discussed the current state of Karazin University, the organization of the educational process, student training, the development of research areas, and prospects for introducing innovations into education. Particular attention was paid to the development of science and technology and opportunities for implementing joint projects.

An important part of the visit was Oleksandr Kryvokon's meeting with the university's researchers and a tour of Karazin's research laboratories. Together with representatives of various research fields, including specialists in biology, chemistry, and radio physics, they discussed Karazin University's research potential, current developments, and prospects for advancing innovative research.

Cooperation and the implementation of joint projects with the Central Scientific Library of Karazin University were also discussed. With the assistance of the public organization “Warriors of Good,” a number of publications have already been donated to the university library, including the books “The Kharkiv Offensive Operation of 2022” and “The Biblyk Era.” The latter publication is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Valentyn Biblyk, who served for many years as director of the Kharkiv Tractor Plant.

The final stage of the visit was an open lecture for university students and faculty, focusing on the role of education and science in the modern world and the challenges facing Ukraine amid the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Oleksandr Kryvokon emphasized the importance of developing applied science, modern technologies, and engineering competencies. In his view, the combination of education, science, and technological development is one of the key factors in strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities and technological capacity.

The visit provided an opportunity for professional dialogue between representatives of university research and a specialist with many years of experience in Ukrainian industry, aircraft manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and the research and education sector. For Karazin University, such meetings provide a space for sharing experience, seeking new partnerships, and turning research ideas into practical solutions.
