The full-scale invasion has fundamentally changed the life of our entire country. As a result of the military actions, historical and cultural heritage has become extremely vulnerable and unfortunately has been damaged. In such circumstances, the preservation and museumification of artifacts embodying the material and spiritual culture of Ukraine become even more significant and relevant.
The Center for Ukrainian Studies and Local Lore named after Academician P.T. Tronko at Karazin University has not remained aloof from these processes. Over the past two years since February 24, 2022, its collections have been enriched with new books and periodicals, ethnographic exhibits, and samples of souvenir products, as well as philatelic and numismatic artifacts.
You can familiarize yourself with these objects at the provided link. This online exhibition is dedicated to the opening of the XV Lunovsky Readings "Ways and Methods of Enriching Museum Collections: History and Modern Experience."
Of course, the list of new acquisitions to the center's collections is not limited to the mentioned exhibits. For example, during the full-scale war, a series of new scientific publications were prepared (archaeographic, bibliographic, collections of aphorisms, etc.). Published during these challenging times, these books have already acquired a certain museum value.
