In Kharkiv, the competition is organized by members of the NGO "UkrYAT," who are employees and postgraduates of the Institute of Physics and Technology at Karazin University and researchers from the National Scientific Center "Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology."

In the city's selection stage this year, which took place in May 2023, 31 works were submitted by students from 19 schools, gymnasiums, and colleges in Kharkiv.

The competition jury identified three winners whose works were recommended for participation in the final stage of the All-Ukrainian essay competition among students "Nuclear Energy and the World–2023," held on November 1–2, 2023, in a remote format.
