On March 11, 2025, the General Assembly of the FuseNet Association — the European Fusion Education Network — took place online.

Karazin University was represented at the event by Professor Ihor Hirka and Senior Researcher Yaroslav Grechko from the Department of Applied Physics and Plasma Physics at the Education and Research Institute of the School of Physics and Technology.

During the event, reports on the association's activities in 2024 were reviewed and approved, along with work plans and the budget for 2025.

FuseNet's Executive Director, Dario Cruz, highlighted Karazin University's contributions in organizing and conducting the national session of the 5th European Fusion Teacher Day. He also emphasized that Ukraine was the first among European countries to translate five educational modules on controlled nuclear fusion for secondary schools from English into Ukrainian. These materials were translated by Professor Ihor Hirka and Inna Afanasieva from the School of Physics and Technology. Four educational modules are already freely available on the FuseNet website.

In addition, association members supported the decision to cancel the mandatory annual membership fee for Karazin University for 2025.

Karazin University continues to actively cooperate with European partners to train highly qualified specialists, particularly in the field of plasma physics and controlled nuclear fusion.
