Karazin University Participated in the Meeting of Partner Universities of the Aurora Alliance
On October 17-18, the annual meeting of partner universities of the Aurora European University Alliance took place in the city of Olomouc, Czech Republic. Karazin Kharkiv National University is an associated partner of this alliance.
During the meetings, representatives of partner universities analyzed the completion of the first phase of the Aurora European University Alliance's functioning and made plans for the future.
Tetyana Kaganovska, the Rector of Karazin Kharkiv National University, was an invited participant in the first panel discussion titled "Pilot Phase of Aurora: Has Aurora Become an Exemplary Alliance?"
They also discussed plans to establish a Peace Hub at Karazin Kharkiv National University, the goal of which is to implement specific educational programs in the field of Peace Education and to train professionals to assist military personnel and their families, as well as the civilian population in matters of psychological rehabilitation, legal aid, and requalification. The Free University of Amsterdam, Palacký University in Olomouc, and the University of Innsbruck will provide significant support in the establishment of the Peace Hub.
During the event, all participants signed a Memorandum of Joint Infrastructure Use.
The Aurora Alliance includes the Free University of Amsterdam (Netherlands), the University of Iceland, the University of East Anglia (United Kingdom), the University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany), the University of Naples Federico II (Italy), the University of Rovira i Virgili (Spain), the University of Innsbruck (Austria), Palacký University in Olomouc (Czech Republic), Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), and the University of Paris XII Val de Marne (France).
Apart from Karazin Kharkiv National University, the associated partners of the Alliance are Southwest University "Neofit Rilski" (Bulgaria), Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (Slovakia), and the University of Tetovo (North Macedonia).
