Education Amidst the War, Karazin University Shares Its Experience

24 october 2023 year

V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University has been operating for over 600 days under the conditions of full-scale invasion, with regular shelling of Kharkiv and the city's civilian infrastructure. For more than 600 days, our university has been proving that education, science, and enlightenment cannot be stopped.

Today, the university administration, including Vice-Rectors Boris Samorodov and Vasyl Blyniuk, and the Executive Director of the charitable organization Kharkiv Karazin University Foundation, Serhiy Makhnovsky, met with a delegation from an expert group initiated by the NGO "Solomianski Kotyky," with the support of the USAID Strengthening Public Trust (UCBI) project.

The delegation, led by Ukrainian Member of Parliament Roman Gryshchuk, visited Karazin University to study our experience in functioning during wartime, restoring the educational process, and infrastructure reconstruction projects at the educational institution.

The expert group delegation plans to utilize this experience in the development of educational policies for educational institutions in the occupied communities of Ukraine. Given the Russian aggression, the issue of developing a comprehensive set of state programs and measures in the field of education is of great significance.

Karazin University continues to work, disseminate science and knowledge, and contribute to the restoration of education in our country!
