Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Ukraine Visited Karazin University

On August 16, 2021, the University hosted a meeting of the Vice-President for Research and Teaching, Oleksii Navrotskyi with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Ukraine, Alisher Kurmanov.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the state and prospects of bilateral relations in education and science.

The participants of the meeting discussed the possibility of opening a branch at Karazin University for Uzbek students, the areas of study that would be the most promising for both countries.

Oleksii Navrotskyi noted that the priority areas for Karazin University are mathematics, computer science, chemistry, and nuclear physics. For his part, Alisher Kurmanov said that Uzbekistan seeks to cooperate with higher educational institutions included in the QS-1000 ranking. He also believes that first of all it is necessary to develop the areas that have always been a strong point of the University.

The parties agreed on further cooperation in the field of training highly-qualified specialists.
