On March 2, the presentation of the results of the program "Leaders of University Transformation for Ukraine's Reinvention " (LUTUR) took place.
University teams presented their projects, which are the result of their work within the program. Among the participating leading higher education institutions in Ukraine were:
- Zaporizhzhia National University;
- Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv;
- Mariupol State University;
- National Technical University "Dniprovska Polytechnika";
- Lviv Polytechnic National University;
- V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
The project of Karazin University, "Impact of the University on Human Resource Development and Enhancement of the Region's Leadership Potential," aims to create a sustainable space for intellectual development in Kharkiv and shape the vision of Ukraine's future through close cooperation among representatives of science, education, culture, and business.
This project is a crucial component in building a radically new, modern, and innovative educational system that will foster a new generation of educated professionals, patriots of their country, and individuals with an active civic position.
The program "Leaders of University Transformation for Ukraine's Reinvention " focuses on:
- Developing and attracting a new generation of leaders in higher education/creating a leadership reserve;
- Strengthening the institutional capacity of Ukrainian universities that demonstrate the ability to develop and change;
- Creating and strengthening relations between universities in the United Kingdom and Ukraine.
The pilot cycle of the program is implemented by the British Council in Ukraine in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Fund of the President of Ukraine for the Support of Education, Science, and Sports, and the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Ukraine, with the participation of leading British and Ukrainian experts. The British partner of the program is Cardiff University.
