On March 6–7, 2025, events of the General Assembly of the European Nuclear Education Network took place in Brussels, Belgium.
The event brought together representatives from top European universities, industrial companies, public organizations, and the European Commission, all focusing on a wide range of nuclear fission and fusion opportunities, from energy to medical applications.
Karazin University was represented by the Director of the Education and Research Institute "School of Physics and Technology," Pylyp Kuznetsov.
As part of the event, Karazin University presented its current educational and research projects in the nuclear field at the "Skills HUB for Brighter Nuclear Tomorrow" exhibition.
During the NURECAB project workshop titled "Ukraine-ENEN Synergies for Nuclear Education and Training," a report was presented on the current state and development prospects of education in the field of medical physics. In-depth discussions were held with representatives of the Ukrainian and International Associations of Medical Physicists. A strategic plan was developed to align Ukrainian teaching methodologies with the best European practices.
During the General Assembly, FUSENet Executive Director Dario Cruz highlighted that Ukraine was the first country in Europe to translate all educational modules for school students on controlled nuclear fusion from English.
This achievement was entirely carried out by representatives of the Department of Applied Physics and Plasma Physics at the Education and Research Institute "School of Physics and Technology."
Additionally, the success and efforts of Karazin University’s team in organizing the ENEN-supported Summer School on Nuclear Physics were acknowledged with gratitude.
