On November 18, 2024, a valuable humanitarian shipment arrived in Kharkiv, designated for museums, archives, libraries, and other cultural institutions.

Several specialized units of Karazin University also received aid worth over 100,000 UAH, including the Central Scientific Library, the Museum of Nature, the Yermilov Center for Contemporary Art, the Hryhorii Semiradskyi Art Gallery, and the Center for Ukrainian Studies and Local History named after Academician P. T. Tronko.

The donors were the Heritage Protection Bureau of the Warsaw Municipality and the BRDA Foundation. Coordination between institutions was facilitated by the Kharkiv City Council and the Polish-Ukrainian public platform Dom Odbudowy Ukrainy.

The project coordinators in Kharkiv were Yuliia Zghurska, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Kharkiv City Council and Senior Lecturer at the Department of World Politics, Diplomacy, and Travel Business of the Karazin Institute of International Relations and Travel Business, and Olha Vovk, Deputy Director of the Center for Ukrainian Studies and Local History named after Academician P. T. Tronko and Lecturer at the Department of Historiography, Source Studies, and Archaeology of the School of History.

In total, over half a ton of valuable equipment was delivered to Kharkiv, including charging stations and power banks. This equipment will help cultural institutions become more resilient in conditions of energy instability and work more effectively to safeguard Ukraine's historical and cultural heritage.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our Polish colleagues for their invaluable assistance and support during these challenging times of war!
