Birthday of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine Volodymyr Marchenko: the university congratulates

Today, July 7, 2022, the world-famous Ukrainian scientist, mathematician, academician Volodymyr Marchenko celebrates his centenary.

Volodymyr Marchenko has fundamental research results in the field of mathematical physics, mathematical analysis, and differential equations. The results of his scientific activity have been published in more than 145 scientific works and 15 monographs.

Volodymyr closely connected his life with the Karazin University, where he has been studying for more than half a century. For many years, the academician managed the city seminar on mathematical physics at the university, which had a significant impact on the development of mathematical research throughout the country.

The scientist always paid a lot of attention to the training of young scientists and transferred his rich experience and knowledge to them. Among his students are two academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, dozens of doctors and candidates of sciences.

Academician Oleksandr Marchenko has a large number of merits and achievements, high government awards, which only confirm the significance of his contribution to the development of world mathematical science.
