Karazin University Delegation Visited Exhibition on Higher Education, Science and Technology in Tanzania
From July 26 to August 4, 2021, the delegation of Karazin University comprising the Dean of the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business, Valerii Rieznikov, and the Head of the Ukrainian-African Academic Center, Inna Kolomyichuk, visited the XVI Exhibition on Higher Education, Science and Technology in Dar es Salaam (Tanzania).
The exhibition is an annual large-scale event organized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Tanzania. The event was attended by public and private higher education institutions of Tanzania, as well as institutions of other friendly countries: India, Ukraine, Kenya, Uganda, and others.
Ukraine was represented by two universities: V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and Sumy State University.
At the exhibition, the members of the Karazin University delegation held consultations aimed at promoting the specialties represented at the University, and career guidance for Tanzanian youth.
They also met with representatives of public higher education institutions: State University of Dodoma, Tanzania Institute of Accountancy, Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology, St. Joseph University in Tanzania, Hubert Kairuki Memorial University, as well as heads of the Department of Higher Education of Tanzania and the Zanzibar Ministry of Education. During the meetings, the parties discussed the issues of cooperation in the field of international education, research, academic mobility of students and faculty, double degree programs.
