Sociology of education
ABSTRACT
Sociology of education is traditionally one of the leading areas of research at the Faculty of Sociology of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. For more than half a century, sociologists of the Kharkiv School of Sociology have been conducting research on the state, processes, trends, specifics, structural dimensions, practical aspects of education as a social institution, as a socio-cultural field, as everyday practices, as a discourse, etc. Within the scope of educational research, several doctoral theses and more than two dozen candidate's theses were defended at the V.N. Karazin KhNU and published hundreds of works.
