Theoretical study of the peculiarities of the magnetic properties of nanostructured materials using multi-electron methods of quantum solid state chemistry.

Project is devoted to the theoretical study of the peculiarities of the magnetic properties of two 1D Heisenberg mixed spin models describing bimetallic ferrimagnets based on the polymeric compounds of transition metals. These compounds have potential applications in spintronics, sensors and targeted drug delivery. We will investigate quantum phase transitions and the corresponding magnetization profiles of the above models arising due to the frustration of spin-spin interactions between transition metal ions mediated by the changes in chemical structure of the corresponding ligands. We believe the results of our investigation will be useful for the description of real materials and for targeted design of new nanomagnets for spintronics and nanomedicine.

On the topic of the project, we have a number of articles in leading scientific journals during 2011-2023. Recent publications in this direction are listed below:

Also in 2022, an oral report (virtual) was made at the international conference:: V. O. Cheranovskii, V.V.
