Serhiy Zaikovsky

On March 24, 2016 graduate of the Faculty of History Serhiy Zaikovsky was killed during a counterattack in Kyiv region while performing his military duty in the ranks of the Armed Forces.

Serhiy specialized in the Department of History of the Ancient World and the Middle Ages, successfully defended his thesis "Veterans of the Roman Army in the Dacia Province" (supervisor - Associate Professor Oleksiy Martemyanov). After his studies, he moved to Kyiv, where he built a career as a historian, translator and publicist.

The Karazin University community expresses its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. The memory of his feat will forever remain in our hearts!
