Oleg Stepanov

Oleg Stepanov, a graduate of the Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism, head of the laboratory of lithophysical research of the Ukrainian Research Institute at the University, father of three children, died defending the sovereign territory of our country.

Oleg was a true patriot, an open and sincere person, a fan of his work. In 2013, he participated in the Revolution of Dignity, and then became a volunteer in the ATO, where he was surrounded near Ilovaisk. Oleg Stepanov was awarded the Order of Courage III degree for his incredible heroism and courage.

From the first day of the full-scale invasion, Oleg stood up for the defense of Kharkiv Oblast and died fighting for the Ukrainian land, independence and freedom of our people. This is an irreparable grief for everyone, because Ukraine has lost another talented, loyal and courageous son.
