Arseniy Ryabenkyi
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Arseniy Viktorovych Ryabenkyi, an Associate Professor at the Department of Environmental Monitoring and Nature Conservation of the Education and Research Institute of Ecology, on August 11, 2024.
Arseniy Viktorovych's journey as a warrior began in Afghanistan. He then stood to defend the independence of Ukraine in 2014. On February 22, 2024, he returned to the front lines.
“We must protect our own. And I’m good at it... What could possibly happen to me? I’m lucky,” he used to say.
Wise and ironic, vibrant, erudite, and passionate. A person with an insatiable thirst for life and a strong sense of justice, courageous, reliable, and optimistic. A true Warrior — by the calling of his soul, by destiny, and by character.
After a severe injury and prolonged treatment in 2023, Arseniy Viktorovych was left with a disability, but he returned to the front once again. “I have to do this!” he said.
On August 11, he was gone... An unbearable pain and fierce hatred towards those who took away an extraordinary person, a loving son, husband, father, reliable friend, and remarkable teacher.
The Karazin community expresses its deepest condolences to the family, loved ones, and friends of the fallen, sharing the bitterness of this loss.
Heroes do not die! They become angels and our heavenly protectors and defenders.
Eternal memory and glory to the Hero!
