On June 6, 2025, the 5th Reporting and Election Conference of the Ukrainian Nuclear Society (UkrYat) took place in Kyiv, bringing together delegates from leading institutions and enterprises of Ukraine’s nuclear sector.
Among the representatives of the Kharkiv branch of UkrYat were Karazin University affiliates, including:

Pylyp Kuznetsov, Director of the School of Physics and Technology (FTI);

Yurii Sliusarenko, Head of the Department of Nuclear and High Energy Physics named after O. I. Akhiezer;
-
Serhii Lytovchenko, Head of the Department of Reactor Materials and Physical Technologies.
Key decisions of the conference:

The Board’s report was unanimously approved;
-
The Society’s activities in 2023–2025 were recognized as satisfactory;
-
Volodymyr Kholosha was re-elected as President, and an updated Board (48 members) and Audit Committee were approved;
-
Reports of the regional branches, including newly established ones, were presented;
-
Three new branches were introduced, based at:

Ukrainian Atomic Energy Systems LLC,
-
State Specialized Enterprise “EcoCenter”,
-
IPP Center LLC.

The Kharkiv branch continues to play an active role in the Society’s work. Our representatives contributed to discussions on strategic directions in scientific, educational, regional, and youth policy, and presented their own visions for development in these areas.
By decision of the conference, all participants from the Kharkiv branch of UkrYat were elected to the new Board of the Ukrainian Nuclear Society.
