Meeting with Advisor of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN Serhiy Dvornyk
Karazin University students continue to learn from real professionals! On April 17, 2024, an online meeting took place with Advisor of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN, Serhiy Dvornyk, and university students.
The theme of the event was "Ukrainian Diplomacy in Defending Ukraine's National Interests at the UN." Consolidating the international community in defense of Ukraine's state sovereignty and territorial integrity is a critically important task for Ukrainian diplomacy. While the UN serves as a global platform for international interaction and cooperation among states, addressing issues of peace, security, development, and human rights.
Students actively showed interest and asked questions aimed at revealing the main tasks of Ukrainian representation at the UN, methods of cooperation with delegations of "Global South" countries to ensure support for necessary resolutions for Ukraine. They also inquired about Mr. Serhiy's personal opinion on the role of the UN in post-war state rebuilding and opportunities to increase assistance to Ukraine.
The speaker shared his own work experience, provided advice for students considering a future in diplomacy and international relations.
This event marks an important step in cooperation between V.N. Karazin Kharkiv University and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN.
