Academic Council of Karazin University

A traditional meeting of the Academic Council of Karazin University was held.

At the beginning of the meeting, Member of Parliament Yevhen Pyvovarov addressed the Karazin community with a welcome speech. He visited the university to present awards on behalf of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

For outstanding service to the Ukrainian people, significant personal contribution to the development of national education and science, implementation of modern teaching and youth training methods, fruitful scientific and pedagogical work, diligent service, and high professionalism, the Dean of the School of Law, Vitalii Seriohin, was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The Central Scientific Library of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was awarded the Certificate of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for their diligent and productive work, exemplary fulfillment of official duties during martial law, high professionalism and competence, and on the occasion of the 220th anniversary of the library’s founding.

A letter of appreciation from Member of Parliament Yevhen Pyvovarov for diligent and fruitful work, high professionalism, competence, exemplary performance of official duties, and on the occasion of the 220th anniversary of Karazin University was presented to:

  • Serhii Kozlov, Head of the Methodological and Accreditation Work Department;

  • Oksana Kotelevets, Assistant to the Vice-Rector, Rector’s Office;

  • Anna Svatenko, Deputy Head of the Planning and Financial Department;

  • Serhii Skolota, Director of the Karazin Educational and Sports Center.

In addition, for many years of fruitful work in the field of education, significant contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists in priority areas of science and technology, strengthening creative ties with the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and on the occasion of the 220th anniversary of the founding of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Volodymyr Farafonov, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry at the School of Chemistry, was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Nataliia Oliinyk, Associate Professor of the Department of Business Foreign Language and Translation at the School of Foreign Languages, was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Kharkiv City Council for diligent and productive work, high professionalism, and significant contribution to the development of education and science in the city of Kharkiv.

The Badge of Distinction “For Service to Karazin University” was awarded to Vladyslav Cheranovskyi, Professor of the Department of Applied Chemistry at the School of Chemistry, for many years of diligent work, a significant contribution to the development of Karazin University, and on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

Vice-Rector Anton Panteleimonov reported on the research activities of young scientists and students at the university, while Vice-Rector Borys Samorodov presented on the accreditation of educational programs for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Among other matters, the members of the Academic Council approved: the regulations on the Department of Basic General Military Training, Physical Education, and Sports of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University; the regulations on the structural units of the Education and Scientific Institute "Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy" of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University; the distribution of the licensed volume of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University by educational programs and forms of study for the implementation of educational activities starting from the 2025/2026 academic year in the new edition; certified educational programs, among others.

The Academic Council also decided to establish one-time specialized academic councils at Karazin University for the defense of dissertations, and to approve the placement and publication of educational, methodological, and scientific works on the Internet.
