A meeting of the Academic Council of Karazin University
A meeting of the Academic Council of Karazin University took place.
At the beginning of the meeting, the university community observed a moment of silence to honor the defenders of Ukraine who had sacrificed their lives for our free and independent Ukraine.
On the occasion of Education Workers' Day, the university's Rector, Tetiana Kaganovska, extended her greetings and presented awards to members of the Karazin University community.
The Kharkiv Regional Council recognized and awarded the following individuals for their diligent and productive work, high professionalism, and significant personal contributions to the development of education and science:
- Serhii Kudelko, Professor of the Institute of Historiography, Source Studies, and Archeology, School of History.
- Inna Litvinova, Associate Professor of the Institute of Ukrainian Language, School of Philology.
- Tetiana Matvieieva, Professor of the Institute of Ukrainian Literature History, School of Philology.
The Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration also recognized and awarded the following individuals for their conscientious and fruitful work, high professionalism, and valuable contributions to scientific and educational activities:
- Andrii Achasov, Professor of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, School of Ecology.
- Nina Hnoieva, Associate Professor of the Institute of Ukrainian Literature History, School of Philology.
- Mariana Shvaiko, Associate Professor of the Institute of Finance, Banking, and Insurance, School of Economics.
The Kharkiv City Council recognized and awarded the following individuals for their long-standing, conscientious, and productive work, high professionalism, and significant contributions to the development of education and science in the city of Kharkiv:
- Kateryna Diukar, Associate Professor of the Institute of Ukrainian Language, School of Philology.
- Ruslan Zaporozhchenko, Associate Professor of the Institute of Ukrainian Language, School of Philology.
- Iryna Ivanova, Associate Professor of the Institute of Public Policy, Education and Scientific Institute "Institute of Public Administration."
- Mykola Kokodia, Professor of the Institute of Information Technologies in Physical and Energy Systems, Education and Scientific Institute of Computer Physics and Energetics.
- Ivan Marchenko, Associate Professor of the Institute of International Economic Relations, School of International Economic Relations and Tourism Business.
- Kateryna Ohienko, Senior Lecturer of the Institute of Eastern Languages and Intercultural Communication, School of Foreign Languages.
- Olena Skorykova, Leading Specialist of the Education and Scientific Institute "Karazin Banking Institute."
- Volodymyr Kuklin, Head of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering, School of Computer Sciences.
- Natalia Shevchenko, Senior Laboratory Assistant of the Institute of History of Eastern Europe, School of History.
- Olena Shuhailo, Senior Lecturer of the Institute of Fundamental Mathematics, School of Mathematics and Informatics.
- Borys Shulyk, Head of the Laboratory of Physical Geography, Geoecology, and Methods of Teaching Geographical Disciplines, School of Geology, Geography, Recreation, and Tourism.
As part of the agenda, the Academic Council members made decisions regarding the conferral of academic titles to researchers.
Boris Samorodov, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, delivered a report on safety measures implemented at the university.
The Academic Council of the university approved several resolutions, including:
- Amendments to the Admission Rules for Higher Education at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University for the year 2023.
- Approval of certificate-based educational programs.
- Establishment of ad hoc specialized scientific councils at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University with the right to review and conduct one-time dissertation defenses.
The Academic Council also approved the renewal of editorial board memberships for the university's periodical publications.
Traditionally, the Academic Council approved several educational, methodological, and scientific publications for printing.
