Meeting of the University Academic and Methodological Council

On May 21, a regular meeting of the Academic and Methodological Council was held, during which a number of issues related to improving the quality of education at Karazin University were traditionally addressed.
There were 62 participants, and the meeting was chaired by Serhii Yeltsov.

Serhii Yeltsov, Head of the Academic Office, presented a report on the organization of the certification of higher education applicants at the first (Bachelor's) and second (Master's) levels.

Iryna Zhuravlova, Director of the Central Scientific Library, delivered a presentation on the informational support of academic disciplines with educational, scientific literature and periodicals.

The educational program guarantors presented plans for improvement measures based on accreditation results:

• Olena Muradian – Bachelor's EP Social and Political and Marketing Research

• Svitlana Reshetchenko – Bachelor's EP Physical Geography, Monitoring and Cadastre of Natural Resources

• Nataliia Popovych – Bachelor's EP Cartography, Geoinformatics and Cadastre

• Kateryna Kravchenko – Bachelor's EP Economic and Social Geography and Regional Development

• Serhii Poslavskyi – Bachelor's EP Applied Mathematics

• Olena Mykolenko – Bachelor's EP Hotel and Restaurant Business

• Oleh Kaluhin – Bachelor's and Master's EP Chemistry

The Council recommended the following educational programs for approval by the Academic Council of the University:

• Biophysics (Bachelor's level)

• Radiophysics and Nanotechnologies (Master's level)

• Software Engineering (Master's level)

• Data Science (Master's level)

In addition, course syllabi were approved for the disciplines:

• Physical Education (for medical students)

• Physical Education (Sports-Oriented Physical Education)

The Council also recommended a number of methodological publications for printing and online publication.
