Scientific and Methodological Council Meeting

On 18 December 2025, a regular meeting of the V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Scientific and Methodological Council was held.

During the meeting, current issues related to the development of the educational process at the University were considered. In particular, the Council members discussed the state of implementation of individual educational trajectories for higher education students, analyzed the selection of elective educational components from the University catalogue, and outlined ways to improve this process. Special attention was paid to shaping a policy on the use of artificial intelligence in the educational process in order to ensure academic integrity.

The meeting also addressed the issue of filling the “Dean’s Office” system by faculties and institutes, as well as the state of organization of distance learning in the Moodle system.

A number of methodological publications were recommended for placement on the Internet. In addition, the draft Regulations on the Scientific and Methodological Council and Scientific and Methodological Commissions of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was presented for consideration, with a view to its further approval by the University Academic Council.

Within the framework of current issues, plans of measures aimed at improving second-cycle (Master’s) educational programmes were presented, namely “Mathematics and Informatics” (specialty 014 Secondary Education) and “Hotel and Restaurant Business” (specialty 241 Hotel and Restaurant Business).

The decisions adopted by the Scientific and Methodological Council are aimed at improving the quality of educational programmes and further developing the University’s educational environment.
