On 17 December 2025, the Department of International Relations and the Project Activity and Innovation Centre of the Educational and Research Institute “Karazin Institute of International Relations and Travel Business” at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University held a series of events to mark the signing of the Ukraine–UK 100-Year Partnership Agreement.

In particular, a meeting was held with representatives of the University of York.

Students had the opportunity to talk with Kamilla Ladna, President of the Ukrainian Society of York, and Jack Redman, Project Coordinator.

The guests spoke about student self-governance in the United Kingdom, the learning process, youth initiatives, as well as the challenges and stereotypes faced by Ukrainian students. The lively discussion helped participants gain a better understanding of the academic and social environment of British universities.

Students also met with Yuliia Sobol, Education Programmes Coordinator of the British Council in Ukraine.

In an interactive format, she presented the organisation’s areas of activity, its role in cultural and educational diplomacy, as well as current opportunities for young people and pathways for career development.

We thank the guests for their insightful presentations and open dialogue.

The meetings became an important step in strengthening international cooperation and inspired students to pursue further professional development.
