Died Defending Ukraine: Psychology Student Maksym Chahovets — the University Extends Its Condolences

The Karazin community deeply mourns an irreparable loss.

On November 5, in the Zaporizhzhia direction, Maksym Chahovets, a first-year student of the School of Psychology at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was killed in action.

Since 2016, Maksym had been defending Ukraine, standing for his homeland with courage and dedication that command the highest respect. After victory, he dreamed of devoting himself to psychology and exploring the depths of the human soul.

His path ended far too soon, but his example of bravery, sincerity, and love for Ukraine will forever remain in our hearts.
