Merry Christmas!

25 december 2024 year

On the night of December 24 to 25, according to the New Julian calendar, Christians celebrate Christmas.

This is one of the most significant Christian holidays, marking the birth of Jesus Christ, who, according to Christian beliefs, was sent by God to the world to save humanity.

Today, we celebrate Christmas under unique circumstances — at a time when darkness attempts to overshadow the light of God’s love. Russia has launched massive attacks on our country’s energy system, seeking to leave us without heat, water, and light. Yet, now more than ever, we understand: true light shines not in lamps but in our hearts.

This light is the faith that together we can overcome any challenge. This warmth comes from shared care, as acquaintances become friends, and friends become family. This strength is the resilience born when we stand shoulder to shoulder in the fight for freedom and dignity.

May this Christmas be a reminder that no darkness can overcome the light that lives in the heart of each of us. May there be peace in your homes, love in your hearts, and hope for victory in your lives.

Karazin University extends its Christmas greetings and wishes strength, unity, and blessings for Ukraine and every one of its defenders!
