Karazin University Graduate Oleksiy Svetlakov — UAV Operator Who Creates Despite the War

Oleksiy Svetlakov, a graduate of Karazin University, currently serves as a UAV (drone) operator and gunner with the 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Under the most challenging conditions at the front, he not only carries out combat missions but also continues to create — finding in this his own inner strength and meaning.

Hobbies remain an important part of Oleksiy’s life, so within a month he personally created a functional space for cultural recreation and psychological relief. The studio is equipped with almost everything needed: a full set of musical instruments for those who want to play live music, a large screen for film lovers, video games, and equipment for DIY crafts.

Karazin University is proud of its graduates who defend Ukraine not only with weapons but also with strength of spirit and creativity.
