Danylo Abakshyn, a graduate of the School of Radiophysics, Biomedical Electronics, and Computer Systems, has been awarded the prestigious title of "Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine."

This honorary sports title was granted to all players of the Ukrainian national futsal team, who won bronze medals at the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup.

"Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine" is the highest sports title awarded to Ukrainian athletes for outstanding achievements at the international level.

It is worth noting that the bronze medals at the 2024 World Cup represent a historic achievement for Ukrainian sports, as they are the first-ever medals won at a world championship in any team sport.

Moreover, Karazin University representative Danylo Abakshyn finished the tournament as the second-highest goal scorer.

Congratulations to the athlete and his coaches, Vitalii Chernyshov and Yurii Petrenko, senior lecturers of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, who guided him on his path to professional futsal!
