Graduate Danylo Abakshyn, as part of the national team of Ukraine, Became a Medalist at the Futsal World Championship

From September 14 to October 6, 2024, the Futsal World Championship took place in Uzbekistan.

For the first time in its history, the Ukrainian team won medals at the world championship.

Among the players of the national team of Ukraine was Danylo Abakshyn, a graduate of the School of Radiophysics, Biomedical Electronics, and Computer Systems, who became a bronze medalist of the championship.

In addition to the bronze medal, Danylo secured second place among the top scorers of the World Championship (scoring 7 goals and providing 6 assists) and received the silver boot of the championship.

It is worth noting that, in the qualifying matches for the right to participate in the final stage of the championship, two more graduates of Karazin University — Yaroslav Lebid and Serhii Malyshko (School of Economics) — also played alongside Danylo Abakshyn.
