All-Ukrainian Tournament of Young Physicists (Junior League): Summary of Results

From April 25 to 27, 2025, the 25th All-Ukrainian Tournament of Young Physicists (Junior League) was held online.

Nine teams from Zhytomyr Region, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Lutsk, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Kharkiv Region took part in the competition.

The finalists were the teams “Radii” (Lutsk), “Impulse Moment” (Kharkiv), “Obdarovanist” from the namesake Kharkiv Lyceum, and “UFML 9b” from the Ukrainian Physics and Mathematics Lyceum (Kyiv).

The winning team — “Impulse Moment” — was coached by Professor Zakhar Maiselis from the School of Physics and his mentees, Hryhorii Ovcharenko and Illia Khoroshko, both former winners of the International Tournament of Young Physicists and currently university students.

Among the 27 jury members, one-third were students, lecturers, and alumni of Karazin University.

Professor Ihor Hirka from the Karazin School of Physics and Technology traditionally chaired the jury.

The tournament brought together enthusiasts of academic competitions and fostered the engagement of talented high school students in the in-depth study of physics.
