All-Ukrainian Philosophical, Historical and Local History Conference of School Youth “Know Yourself, Your Family, Your Nation”
On February 18–19, 2026, the traditional 19th All-Ukrainian Philosophical, Historical and Local History Conference of School Youth “Know Yourself, Your Family, Your Nation” was held.
The event was organized by the Municipal Institution “Kharkiv Regional Center for Travel Business, Local History, Sports and Excursions of School Youth” of the Kharkiv Regional Council in cooperation with the National Center "Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine", the Education and Research Institute of Philosophy, Cultural Studies and Political Science of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, and the Hryhorii Skovoroda National Literary and Memorial Museum, with the support of the Department of Education and Science of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration.
The conference participants were welcomed by: Deputy Director of the National Center “Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” Nataliia Savchenko; Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Andrii Vasyliev; Vice-Rector of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Anton Panteleimonov; Director of the Education and Research Institute of Philosophy, Cultural Studies and Political Science Ivan Karpenko; Head of the Local History Department of the National Center “Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” Dmytro Omelchenko; Director of the Hryhorii Skovoroda National Literary and Memorial Museum Nataliia Mytsai; Senior Research Fellow at the M. Rylskyi Institute of Art Studies, Folklore and Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Valentyna Sushko; and Director of the Municipal Institution “Kharkiv Regional Center for Travel Business, Local History, Sports and Excursions of School Youth” Valentyna Redina.
This year, 241 student research papers from 24 regions of Ukraine and the city of Kyiv were submitted for participation in the conference.
Participants had the opportunity to present their views and engage in discussions on:

the relevance of the legacy of Hryhorii Skovoroda in the contemporary context;

the global consequences of the war for Ukraine and the world;
-
ethnographic features of their native region;
-
the spiritual treasures of their homeland;
-
the meaning of life in the perspectives of modern youth.
The conference participants expressed their gratitude to our soldiers who defend Ukraine and make it possible to hold and participate in such events.
