World Environment Day

On June 5, the international community observes World Environment Day — one of the key ecological dates aimed at drawing attention to environmental issues and the urgent need to preserve natural resources for future generations.

As a leading scientific and educational institution in Ukraine, Karazin University recognizes its responsibility in shaping environmental awareness, advancing scientific research in the field of environmental protection, and integrating the principles of sustainable development into the educational process and the daily activities of the university community.

On this day, we emphasize the importance of uniting efforts to address the environmental challenges of our time. Special attention must be paid to the issues of sustainable use of natural resources, biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation, and raising society’s environmental awareness.

Karazin University supports initiatives aimed at protecting the natural environment and encourages students, researchers, and staff to actively participate in ecological projects, research, and educational outreach.

We firmly believe that only through joint efforts can we achieve harmony between humanity and nature, ensuring the sustainable development of our country and the planet as a whole.
