The University Celebrates the World Science Day for Peace and Development

Science is a powerful tool that, in the hands of humanity, should work for the benefit of peace, progress, and development.

Each year on November 10, we celebrate World Science Day for Peace and Development. Karazin University, one of the oldest and most prestigious educational institutions in Ukraine, is deeply rooted in the scientific community and makes a significant contribution to the advancement of science, both nationally and internationally.

At Karazin University, there are six academicians and corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, over 250 doctors of science and professors, and more than 900 candidates of science and associate professors. They not only teach students but also actively participate in leading research across various fields — from natural sciences to the humanities. Their work helps to open new horizons of knowledge, develop innovations, and create solutions that promote sustainable development in our society.

The university’s scientific community makes a valuable contribution to the global pursuit of peace and prosperity every day through research, development, and international collaboration. On the occasion of World Science Day, we express our sincere gratitude to all our scientists and faculty members for their invaluable work in advancing science for a better future for Ukraine!
