World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development

On May 21, the world celebrates the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, proclaimed by the UN General Assembly to promote intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding, and sustainable development.

In 2001, UNESCO adopted the Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity, which defines cultural diversity as the “common heritage of humanity” and aims to promote peaceful coexistence of cultures through dialogue and understanding.

Karazin University consistently supports the principles of openness, tolerance, and respect for cultural diversity.
