International Tourist Guide Day

21 february 2026 year

International Tourist Guide Day is celebrated on February 21 and was established in 1990. It is a professional holiday for those who introduce us to history, culture, science, and nature through their spoken word and personal presence.

Tourist guides are navigators in the world of knowledge and meaning. They help us see beyond the facts — behind the stories, behind the buildings, behind the exhibits — revealing the eras and destinies connected to them. Thanks to their work, university lecture halls, museums, and research spaces become places of dialogue between the past and the present.

We congratulate all specialists who share knowledge daily, inspire curiosity, and foster a deeper connection with our university and city.

Karazin University actively develops its excursion activities and invites everyone to discover the university from a new perspective.

You can visit guided tours of the Archaeology Museum, University History Museum, Astronomy Museum, as well as the Botanical Garden and the Medical School Simulation Center.

For detailed information about the tours, please refer to the link on the university website.
