Visit of the Deputy Minister of Culture of Ukraine, Bohdana Layiuk, to the Central Scientific Library

On 14 January 2026, as part of a working visit to Kharkiv, Deputy Minister of Culture of Ukraine Bohdana Layiuk took part in an introductory tour of the Central Scientific Library of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

During the meeting, Vice-Rector Borys Samorodov and the team of the Central Scientific Library presented Bohdana Layiuk with an overview of the library’s activities, its modern services, learning and research spaces, as well as development priorities aimed at supporting education, research, international cooperation, and the promotion of reading.

The meeting at the Central Scientific Library was also attended by Vita Kovalska, Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, and Oleksandr Kostin, Acting Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

The Central Scientific Library is an important part of the university’s infrastructure — a space where academic traditions are combined with digital technologies and resources, and openness to new educational initiatives.
