Visit of Tomasz Manecki, Professor of the Lodz University of Technology, Within the Framework of the Erasmus+ Program

From May 31 to June 6, 2021, the Professor of the Institute of General and Ecological Chemistry of the Lodz University of Technology (Poland) Tomasz Manecki was visiting Karazin University.

The visit of the Polish colleague is an integral part of implementing the practice of bilateral academic exchanges within the Erasmus+ program (KA107 "International Credit Mobility")

While visiting the School of Chemistry of Karazin University, Tomasz Manecki gave an open lecture "Carbon Nanotubes: Properties, Synthesis, and Application".

On June 2, 2021, he met with the Head of the International Relations Department, Professor Oleksandr Khyzhniak, who told about the areas of academic and research cooperation with Polish colleagues.

The Acting Head of the Department of International Programs and Academic Mobility of the International Relations Department, Yuliia Koval, noted the importance of developing bilateral academic exchanges for a successful path of the University towards the European educational space.

While visiting Karazin University Ukrainian-Polish Academic Center for Science and Culture, Tomasz Manecki learned about the many years' cultural and educational cooperation of Karazin University with Polish higher educational and research institutions, cultural agencies and Polish officials. An interesting part of the official visit was acquainting the guest with the anniversary photo chronicle dedicated to famous Polish guests of Karazin University.

Tetiana Bitkova, Head of the Ukrainian-Polish Academic Center for Science and Culture, stressed an extremely important role of prominent Poles who lived and worked in Kharkiv in the development of international cooperation of Karazin University.

The guest visited the School of Chemistry, where he met with its Dean, Professor Oleh Kaluhin, and got acquainted with advanced achievements of the industry and their implementation in the educational process.

The participants of the meeting discussed the prospects for developing sectoral educational and research cooperation, the possibility of introducing short-term academic exchanges between the School of Chemistry and the Research Institute of Chemistry of Karazin University on the one hand and the School of Chemistry of the Lodz University of Technology on the other.
