From May 5 to 9, 2025, the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (Spain) hosted the International Staff Week.
Participants from 32 countries, including Albania, Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Slovenia, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Costa Rica, Mexico, Latvia, Lithuania, India, Chile, Malaysia, Nepal, Italy, Morocco, Jordan, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Nigeria, and others, attended the event.
Representing Karazin University within the Erasmus+ KA171 international academic mobility program during the International Staff Week were: Professor Denys Kovalenko, Director of the Education and Research Institute "Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogics Academy"; Professor Maryna Vasylieva, Deputy Director of the same institute; and Roman Nesterenko, Deputy Head of the Office for International Relations at Karazin University.
The central theme of the week was “From Tradition to Innovation”, reflecting the major trends in education and science development in the global context.
The rich program of events included presentations of international educational initiatives, workshops on the use of artificial intelligence in universities, discussions on the role of international projects in advancing educational cooperation, and an interactive session dedicated to Europe Day.
Participation in the International Staff Week provided opportunities to explore innovations in research and education across global higher education institutions and to build plans for future collaboration.
The cultural program offered by the organizers also enabled participants to continue communication in an informal setting and to strengthen mutual connection.
