Karazin University Delegation Visits Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad (Romania)

From July 7 to 11, 2025, a delegation from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University took part in the Erasmus+ KA107 International Mobility Week held at Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad (Romania). The delegation included Associate Professor Iryna Shteymiller, Head of the International Relations Office; Roman Nesterenko, Deputy Head of the International Relations Office; Professor Maryna Vasylieva, Deputy Director of the Education and Research Institute of the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy and Professor of the Department of Pedagogy, Methods and Education Management; and Professor Tetiana Bondarenko of the Department of Information Computer Technologies and Mathematics.

As part of the program, the university representatives participated in seminars, workshops, and lectures dedicated to fostering international cooperation between universities.

On the first day, participants were welcomed by Rector Teodor Florin Cilan and Institutional Erasmus Coordinator Cerlinde Knap, who introduced the program. The day also included a Romanian Language Crash Course, which offered insights into Romanian culture and communication, as well as a tour of the university's facilities.

Iryna Shteymiller gave a presentation about Karazin University, highlighting its international projects, academic programs, and potential areas for collaboration.

Workshops on the second and third days included:
"Taste and Colour of Transylvania,"
"The Flavour of Romania – A Marketing Approach to Promoting Tourist Destinations,"
"A Home Abroad,"
"Erasmus+ Program Overview," and
"From Tradition to Transformation – The Technical Essence of Romania."
Karazin delegates actively participated in these sessions, engaging with the university's international project activities.

During the visit, the delegation also met with representatives from other higher education institutions participating in the event and established close international cooperation ties.

The Education and Research Institute of the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy has a long-standing partnership with the School of Educational Sciences, Psychology, and Social Work at Aurel Vlaicu University.

In particular, Tetiana Bondarenko, Maryna Vasylieva, and Roman Nesterenko, together with Associate Dean Professor Gabriela Kelemen, have co-authored publications in Education Plus (Romania), where members of the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy have served on the editorial board. They have also co-published articles in Scopus-indexed journals and regularly collaborate in international academic conferences, forums, and seminars.
